Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in Business Development or Head of Sales role
- Prior work experience in Africa is required
- Experience in full-cycle B2B sales process, including onboarding and integration, and partnership management on live accounts.
- Strong ability to close deals
- Ability to adapt quickly, anticipate challenges, make tough decisions, and influence broadly across the organisation
- Thorough understanding of the FinTech / Cryptocurrency space
- Detailed knowledge of B2B sales discipline, client management, and third-party distribution channel management
- Experience in sales and business development within the FinTech industry, especially selling API solutions to affinity partners
- Ability to collaborate with the product team to promote API adoption
- Ensure compliance of solutions with company policies, security standards, and best practices
- Serve as a technical liaison between B2B, service engineering, and business teams
- Adept at building growth-driven solutions
- Combine industry knowledge, strategic thinking, and customer focus to enhance performance
- Comfortable working in a culture of transparency and collaboration
Responsibilities
- Acquire new business and partners through prospecting, qualification, and contract negotiation
- Identify target clients and market segments for our client’s platform
- Generate and manage new partnerships from initiation to execution, including contract negotiations and proposal evaluations
- Conduct quarterly reviews with senior leadership and promote partnerships
- Manage partner relationships, maintain a pipeline, and report weekly
- Visit partners, customers, and prospects; attend local events and exhibitions
- Achieve or surpass revenue targets
- Negotiate business terms and contracts with strategic partners, coordinating with relevant stakeholders
- Drive new business revenues from financial institutions and new markets
- Identify and develop product offerings to meet client needs
- Regularly review partnership performance with senior leadership
