Job description

Senior Sales Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Consultant for our Energy Distribution division based in Linbro Park, Gauteng. This role involves working closely with customers to promote and grow the sale of Rubicon products, including generating new business opportunities, qualifying leads, developing long-term customer relationships, implementing strategic plans, and managing assigned customer accounts.

Sales Consultant Responsibilities
  1. Acquire thorough knowledge of the company's products and confidently pass that knowledge to customers.
  2. Facilitate sales and maintain ongoing relationships to drive sustainable growth.
  3. Develop and implement sales plans for assigned customers.
  4. Identify and pursue sales leads within assigned regions.
  5. Achieve sales targets set by the Division Head of Energy.
  6. Schedule and conduct regular customer meetings to nurture relationships.
  7. Establish and maintain professional relationships with decision-makers at customer organizations.
  8. Manage and interpret customer requirements to meet their needs effectively.
  9. Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings and provide technical support as needed.
  10. Create and maintain account plans, and communicate sales opportunities and customer feedback.
  11. Investigate and resolve customer concerns or complaints, and identify trends for continuous improvement.
  12. Coordinate with the sales team and other departments to ensure exemplary service.
  13. Research prospective customers and expand market awareness of our products.
  14. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and communications.
  15. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and marketing events.
  16. Communicate market requirements and data to the sales team.
Role Requirements
  • Minimum Matric / NQF4 equivalent qualification.
  • Proven track record of 2-3 years as an External Sales Consultant, preferably within the solar energy industry.
  • Relevant industry experience and technical knowledge; engineering background is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Own vehicle and valid driver's license.
