Old Mutual Insure is looking for 2 self-driven Senior Sales Consultants.

Both roles will be based at our Johannesburg office and will report to the Sales Development Manager.

Job Requirements: Grade 12 with Insurance Level IV qualification.

Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.

5 – 8 years' experience in Underwriting and leading a team of Portfolio Managers.

3 – 5 years' experience in insurance sales.

Provides specialist knowledge and executes account development strategies and sales business plans to achieve large sales targets.

Responsibilities include:

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Use data from various sources to analyze key themes and impacts on the business.
  • Information and Business Advice: Provide specialist advice on policies and procedures, resolving complex queries and enabling appropriate actions.
  • Document Preparation: Write and tailor material for different audiences, matching tone and content to needs.
  • Insights and Reporting: Design reporting strategies, lead complex report creation, interpret patterns and trends, and translate insights into recommendations.
  • Customer Relationship Management / Account Management: Develop and implement plans for complex customer accounts, build relationships, and ensure needs are met with appropriate feedback and analysis.
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial advice within areas of limited complexity, considering client demographics and needs.
  • Sales: Sell standard products/services and supervise sales teams.
  • Operational Compliance: Monitor performance and behaviors to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Personal Capability Building: Act as a subject matter expert, maintain external accreditations, and stay updated on regulation and industry practices.
