FMCG concern in Mobeni is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Safety Officer to join their team. This hands-on role involves comprehensive SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) management and security responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete SHEQ management and site security
  • Conduct internal audits, inspections, and hazard identification
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Lead incident investigations and manage injury claims
  • Coordinate safety training programs (on-site and off-site)
  • Oversee contractor safety management
  • Perform management plant walks and site inductions
  • Manage legal appointments and compliance
  • Chair the Health and Safety Committee
  • Handle SHEQ reporting and risk management
  • Issue work permits to employees and contractors
  • Support capital expenditure projects
  • Procure personal protective equipment
  • Conduct equipment inspections and maintain registers
  • Implement environmental management protocols
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Grade 12 education
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience
  • SAMTRAC certification
  • IMS Internal Auditor certification (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, 14001 & 45001 (preferred)
  • MS Office Package skills (Intermediate level preferred)
