Placements24 is seeking a Lead Rotating Equipment Engineer for a fully remote role serving clients worldwide. The ideal candidate will design, analyze, and troubleshoot pumps, turbines, compressors, and expanders, applying fluid dynamics and thermodynamics to ensure reliability and performance.

You will provide high-level technical leadership from Mossel Bay, Western Cape, supporting global projects, coordinating with teams, vendors, and clients, and mentoring junior staff while upholding safety

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical leadership in the specification, design, and application of rotating equipment for diverse projects.
• Conduct in-depth performance analysis, vibration analysis, and failure investigations for pumps, compressors, turbines, and other rotating machinery.
• Develop and review technical specifications, data sheets, and bid evaluations for rotating equipment procurement.
• Collaborate with project engineers, vendors, and clients to ensure equipment selection meets project requirements and international standards.
• Oversee commissioning and start-up support of rotating equipment, often remotely with site personnel.
• Develop predictive and preventive maintenance strategies for critical rotating assets.
