RPO Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join a major roadworks project in Cape Town. You will provide technical oversight, contract administration, construction supervision and stakeholder coordination to deliver in line with required specifications, standards, quality, safety and environmental requirements.

Your qualifications include a BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil Engineering and ECSA registration (Pr. Eng or Pr.

Qualifications

• Professional engineering qualification in Civil Engineering.
• Registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or Pr. Eng Tech.
• At least 15 years of post-qualification experience in civil/road projects.
• Proven track record on five rehabilitation or resurfacing projects as Resident Engineer/Employer’s Agent/ Engineer’s Representative.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer road construction contracts.
• Act as Employer’s Agent’s Representative / Engineer’s Representative.
• Oversee contractors and monitor construction quality.
• Review contractor programmes, payment certificates and claims.
• Coordinate site meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Mentor junior site staff and supervise teams.
