Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead the geometric design of roads, highways, intersections and related transport infrastructure in the Western Cape.

You will prepare design reports, drawings and specifications, develop alignments, coordinate multidisciplinary inputs, and mentor junior engineers, while ensuring compliance with SANRAL and TMH standards and maintaining client liaison throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years' experience in geometric road design within a consulting engineering environment.
• Strong knowledge of SANRAL, TMH, and South African road design standards.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Valid driver's licence.
