Senior Respiratory Physiologist

I am delighted to partner with a leading Hospital in Cork to fill the role of Senior Respiratory Physiologist.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a lead role in a leading Pulmonary lab where there is a genuine, warm, team-centred, patient-centred culture. The main role is the effective running of a high quality diagnostic service in the Respiratory + Sleep Laboratory. Please note, these roles require a relocation to Ireland and a full relocation package is provided.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Pulmonary Laboratory, the technical staff and the Clinical workload.
2. Manage quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) requirements of the Pulmonary Laboratory.
3. Manage relationships with relevant Consultants Management in the strategic planning of services.
4. Take responsibility for the clinical output from the Pulmonary Laboratory.
5. Manage a range of diagnostic tests including measurement, recording + analysis of pulmonary function tests using appropriate techniques and equipment.
6. Work with the Respiratory Clinical Lead in developing and implementing evidence based protocols for the department.

Requirements:

1. BSc in Clinical Measurement or equivalent.
2. If qualified outside of Ireland, recognition by IICMP, the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMS) is an advantage.
3. Certificate in Medical Physics and Psychological Measurement (MPPM) or equivalent.
4. A minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience, including experience in a Senior role.
