Job summary

Iliso Consulting Pty Ltd in Durban is seeking a Senior Civil Resident Engineer to lead site-based oversight of water and sanitation construction projects. You will coordinate resident engineers, review designs, monitor progress, and ensure quality and cost control in line with NEC4 contracts.

The ideal candidate holds Pr TechEng (ECSA) and preferably PrCPM, with extensive experience in municipal water/sewerage schemes and ISO9001 adherence.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management and NEC contracts.
• Strong understanding of water and sanitation projects.
• Municipal services experience is advantageous.

Senior Civil Resident Engineer

We are recruiting for a Senior Civil Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an on-site position but will require reporting to the office when needed.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Client Liaison and Engagement.
• Co-ordinate and Manage Assistant Resident Engineers responsible for various work packages.
• Review Designs and Drawings and check for correctness.
• Monitor Construction Activities.
• Quality and Cost Control and Reporting.
• Contract Administration using various contracts including NEC4.
• Adherence to Company ISO9001 QMS System.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• 15 yrs + experience in a Civil Engineering Consultancy and Monitoring of Construction Projects.
• Competency in the Water and Sanitation Field, including Bulk Water and Bulk Sanitation.
• Competency in Contract Administration with NEC3/4 experience an advantage.
• General Municipal Services an added advantage.
• Must have Pr TechEng, registered with ECSA.
• PrCPM an added advantage.
