Placements24 is seeking an Architectural Sustainability Consultant to join its remote team, supporting clients nationally from South Africa. You will integrate sustainable design principles into architectural projects, advise on green building certifications, and optimize energy efficiency and material choices.

The role requires a degree in a related field, at least five years of sustainable building experience, and strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sustainable building design or consulting.
• In-depth knowledge of green building rating systems (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
• Proficiency in energy simulation software and relevant design tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct energy modeling and analysis to optimize building performance.
• Advise project teams on sustainable design strategies, materials, and technologies.
• Manage the process for green building certifications (e.g., Green Star SA, LEED).
• Prepare sustainability reports, assessments, and recommendations for clients and design teams.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in sustainable design, policy, and technology.
