Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Remote Buyer to lead our global sourcing strategy and negotiate complex contracts with international suppliers. You will identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate supply chain risks, and ensure procurement of high-quality goods and services across worldwide operations.

Working fully remotely, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across time zones, define category strategies, and drive value improvements while maintaining ethical sourcing

Qualifications

• 5+ years in strategic purchasing or sourcing, international exposure preferred.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale negotiations and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with spend data analysis and cost-saving opportunities.
• Experience with remote, cross-time-zone collaboration.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies to achieve significant cost reductions and value improvements.
• Lead complex negotiations with key global suppliers, securing favorable terms and conditions.

• Conduct thorough market analysis to understand cost drivers, supplier capabilities, and emerging risks.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic purchasing or sourcing, preferably with international exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large‑scale negotiations and manage complex supplier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to analyze spend data and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Experience working effectively in a remote and collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
