Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a highly creative Senior Broadcast Graphics Designer for a fully remote role. You will design and animate broadcast graphics for television, live streams, and digital content, collaborating with producers, directors, and editors to deliver visually engaging on-screen storytelling.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in broadcast graphics, expert proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and experience with 3D tools such as Cinema 4D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, Animation, or related field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in broadcast graphics design and motion graphics.
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional broadcast graphics and animation work.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Experience with 3D software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Maya) is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of broadcast standards, video formats, and delivery requirements.
• Excellent artistic eye, creativity, and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a fully remote setting.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Design and animate broadcast graphics, including lower thirds, title sequences, transitions, and full-screen animations.
• Develop visual concepts and style frames for various broadcast segments and promotional materials.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, and editors to understand their creative needs and deliver impactful visual solutions.
• Create motion graphics packages for news, sports, entertainment shows, and live events.
• Ensure all graphics adhere to brand guidelines and technical specifications for broadcast.
• Manage and organize graphic assets efficiently.
• Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in motion graphics, broadcast design, and video editing.
• Operate and utilize graphics software such as After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, and others.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time effectively to meet broadcast deadlines.
• Provide creative input and feedback to enhance visual storytelling.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to graphics creation and delivery.
• Maintain a high standard of quality and aesthetic excellence in all deliverables.
• Contribute to the development of innovative visual solutions within the Arts & Entertainment media landscape.
