Job description

RPO Recruitments Client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Reliability Engineer in the Western Cape. The successful candidate will provide support to the Concentration Engineering Team and will be accountable for Maintenance Operational Excellence support and the facilitation of asset and reliability activities.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in delivering best practice maintenance at BSB
• Assist in developing and maintaining the Maintenance business plan
• Assist in ensuring maintenance KPIs are measured, reviewed, and improved to agreed targets
• Assist in developing and implementing the maintenance budget and reporting on cost performance relative to budget and forecast
• Assist with accurate CAPEX and OPEX forecasting
• Manage the implementation of smaller projects
• Facilitate OE activities and improvements in line with the reliability strategy
• Champion idea generation within the team
• Assist in ensuring plant modifications are adequately risk assessed through management of change
• Assist in ensuring maintenance work management procedures align with safety values
• Ensure management and integrity of the computerized maintenance management system (CMM)
• Provide rotatable equipment repair support to Supply Chain
• Manage the Condition Monitoring department
• Provide support to the maintenance teams where necessary
• Assist with proper equipment stockholding
• Ensure compliance with equipment quality and reliability standards used on site

Requirements :

• B Eng / B Tech in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
• GCC MHS Act will be advantageous
• Registered at ECSA will be advantageous
• 3-5 years maintenance experience within a heavy industry environment (Mandatory)
• Valid code RSA driver's license (Code B / Code 8 preferably code C1 or above)
