Position Title

Senior Reliability Engineer

Location

CPC, Empangeni, KZN

Primary Responsibilities

1. Support Maintenance Processes: Oversee electrical and mechanical maintenance, approve installations, and troubleshoot failures.
2. Plant Maintenance Leadership: Develop maintenance plans, improve KPIs, manage budgets, and oversee projects.
3. Reliability and Integrity: Conduct root cause analyses, manage CMMS, and ensure equipment performance.
4. Projects and Continuous Improvement: Lead process improvements, feasibility studies, and reliability projects.
5. Project Management: Deliver projects on time, within scope, and budget, with effective stakeholder communication.
6. Staff Supervision: Lead and develop teams, oversee recruitment, and promote safety and performance standards.
7. SHEQ and Compliance: Maintain safety standards, conduct incident investigations, and ensure regulatory compliance.
8. Customer and Client Relations: Manage stakeholder relationships and represent Tronox in forums.
9. Process Efficiency: Achieve production targets, optimize resources, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• BEng / BSc / BTech / PGDip in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent (NQF Level 7)
• GCC MHS Act or OHS Act (advantageous)
• Professional registration with ECSA (advantageous)
• Valid driver's license
• 5-10 years maintenance experience in heavy industry
• Computer literacy, SAP experience (recommended)
• Knowledge of electrical systems, condition monitoring, RCM, and RCFA techniques
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
