Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Registered Architect for a well-established Richards Bay practice to lead the design and delivery of diverse commercial projects, overseeing from concept to completion with technical excellence and budget adherence.

You will collaborate with designers and engineers, coordinate with structural and MEP consultants, and ensure compliance with building codes and client briefs while delivering high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• SACAP registered architect with post-registration experience.
• Strong portfolio in commercial architecture.
• Evidence of design leadership and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural design development for commercial projects, ensuring alignment with briefs and regulatory requirements.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources from design to handover.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants and other specialists.
• Conduct site analyses and feasibility studies.
• Prepare design proposals, contract documents and construction administration.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
