Job summary

Liquid Thought is seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to build and grow mobile apps from Cape Town on-site. You will partner with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions while maintaining clean code and strong SDLC practices.

A strong background in React/React Native and software engineering is required. You will mentor peers, contribute to architecture discussions, and help shape the roadmap for mobile platforms, with emphasis on collaboration and code

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of development experience, with 3+ years in React or React Native.
• Strong fundamentals of programming paradigms and solution design.
• React or React-Native development experience is essential, with a preference for React-Native.
• Understanding of UI design and visual communication is advantageous.
• Ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment with increased responsibility and collaboration.
• Strong communication across multidisciplinary teams including Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Exceptional grasp of the fundamentals of programming paradigms and solution design.

• An understanding of User Interface Design and Visual Communication advantageous.
• Versatile in being able to operate optimally in a small, fast-paced environment with increased amounts of responsibility and highly collaborative teams.
• Strong communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams i.e. Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, QA Engineers and various stakeholders in the business.
