Job summary

Communicate Finance is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in South Africa to own software architecture and development initiatives within a growing engineering team. You will design, build, and improve modern applications delivering real business value, collaborating with product managers and stakeholders to shape the technical direction.

You will lead projects, mentor junior developers, and ensure code quality through testing, design patterns, and SOLID principles.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' commercial experience with React and TypeScript frontend development.
• Strong experience integrating frontend applications with RESTful APIs.
• Solid experience developing backend APIs using .NET and C#.
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server, including queries, stored procedures, jobs, and administration.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Strong problem-solving capability and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Experience leading projects and mentoring other developers.
