You will configure base stations, monitor performance, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive network upgrades while maintaining robust coverage and QoS for subscribers. Hybrid work model offered.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Radio Access Network (RAN) Engineer to join their engineering team in Klerksdorp. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, optimizing, and troubleshooting the radio network infrastructure that underpins mobile communication services. You will work with the latest technologies in 4G and 5G networks, ensuring robust signal coverage, high data throughput, and excellent quality of service for our client's subscribers across the North West province. Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan RAN solutions, including site selection, capacity planning, and frequency allocation.
• Configure, integrate, and commission new base stations and related RAN equipment.
• Monitor network performance using specialized tools, identifying and resolving issues such as interference, poor coverage, and dropped calls.
• Optimize network performance through parameter tuning, software upgrades, and drive testing.
• Collaborate with hardware vendors and internal teams on network evolution and technology upgrades.
• Provide technical support and expertise to field operations and other engineering disciplines.
