Job description

A multi-disciplinary consulting firm based in Plattekloof, Cape Town, is seeking a Professionally Registered Quantity Surveyor (Pr. QS) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with internal Architecture and Engineering departments and contribute to a range of high-impact projects across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret architectural and engineering design documentation
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and feasibility studies
  • Compile Bills of Quantities and full contract documentation
  • Perform tender evaluations and prepare tender reports
  • Administer cost control processes including cash flow forecasts, cost reports, valuations, variation orders, and contractual claims
  • Negotiate and finalize project accounts
  • Conduct value assessments, repair/damage costings, and determine value at risk
  • Attend project meetings and provide client support
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Engineers, Architects, Project Managers, and fellow Quantity Surveyors
