Job summary

Jobs 4 All is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for tendering, subcontractor management, and the complete QS function on varied construction projects. The role focuses on commercial management, procurement, and contract administration across Johannesburg and Pretoria.

The ideal candidate has about 10 years of hands-on QS experience in building construction, with preference for main contractor exposure and strong skills in tendering, valuations, and payments.

Qualifications

• BTech in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Approximately 10 years' functional Quantity Surveying experience.
• Strong experience within the building construction industry.
• Experience across a variety of building projects (commercial, residential, industrial).
• Preference for candidates with experience at a main building contractor.
• Subcontractor experience considered if they have main contractor exposure and full QS capabilities.
• Ability to manage the full QS function independently from start to finish.
• Strong experience in subcontractor tendering, adjudication, appointments, valuations and payments.
• Proven procurement and commercial management experience.
• Experience preparing and submitting interim payment applications.
• Strong cost management, reporting and financial control capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead tendering and commercial management for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage the complete QS function from project start to completion.
• Prepare and process interim payment applications and valuations.
• Conduct procurement, cost control and budgeting across projects.
• Maintain accurate commercial and contractual records and reports.
• Provide commercial feedback to project teams and management.
