A major Contractors Civil Engineering Highways arm is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on significant civil schemes in the North West region. Responsibilities include full quantity surveying, managing project controls, and ensuring quality service delivery to clients. The ideal candidate will have substantial civil engineering experience, a degree in quantity surveying, and strong commercial management abilities.

Qualifications

  • The ideal person will have extensive experience in working on Civil Engineering projects, specifically Roads/Highways.
  • Strong ability to manage a team on complex projects is essential.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Full quantity surveying duties with pre and post contract project control responsibilities.
  • Monitor all work executed at all stages to ensure accuracy and professional service.
  • Interface with other disciplines and the client’s representative for quality service.

A major Contractors Civil Engineering Highways arm is seeking an experienced Senior QS to work within their expanding NW region. Working on Civil Schemes up to £100m and reporting into the regional Commercial Manager.

The ideal person:
• Will have extensive experience in working on Civil Engineering projects, specifically Roads/Highways HNC/HND
• Degree in Quantity Surveying desirable
• Strong Commercial Skills
• Productive supervision of subordinates including adequate planning, monitoring and control
• Ability to manage a team on complex projects

Responsibilities:
• Full quantity surveying duties
• Provision of pre and post contract project control and responsibility
• Staff structure and formal routes of reporting
• Planning, organisation and control
• Monitoring all work executed, at all stages, to ensure that an accurate and professional service is offered
• Guidance of team members in technical and contractual obligations and duties
• Professional interface with other disciplines and the client’s representative
• To ensure the quality and timeliness of service delivery to clients
