Job summary

Freerecruit is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major mining and infrastructure project portfolio. You will lead commercial management, cost control, valuations, and contract administration across EPCM and multidisciplinary construction settings.

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Technology, 10+ years in the field including 5+ in senior roles, and are willing to travel to Zimbabwe as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Must be registered with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
• At least 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, including 5+ years in a senior role.
• Proven experience on mining, minerals processing, infrastructure, industrial, EPCM, or multidisciplinary construction projects.
• Extensive experience in contract administration, cost control, valuations, variation orders, and claims management.
• Experience with FIDIC contracts, as well as NEC, JBCC, or bespoke EPC/EPCM contracts.
• Experience in integrated project controls with planning, cost, and project management teams.
• Sound knowledge of cost management systems, ERP platforms, and project controls software.
• Strong understanding of mining projects, mineral processing facilities, and multidisciplinary environments.
• Willing to travel occasionally to project sites in Zimbabwe.

Applicants must have the following requirements:

Must have a Bachelor of Technology Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
Must be registered with SACQSP as a Professional Quantity Surveyor.
Must have at least 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, including at least 5 years in a senior Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management role.
Must have proven experience on major mining, minerals processing, infrastructure, industrial, EPCM, or multidisciplinary construction projects.
Must have extensive experience in contract administration, cost control, valuations, variation orders, and claims management.
Must have demonstrable experience working with FIDIC contracts, as well as NEC, JBCC, or bespoke EPC/EPCM contracts.
Must have experience working within an integrated project controls environment, collaborating with planning, cost, and project management teams.
Must have a sound working knowledge of cost management systems, ERP platforms, and project controls software.
Must have a strong understanding of mining projects, mineral processing facilities, and multidisciplinary construction environments.
Must be willing and able to travel occasionally to project sites in Zimbabwe.
