Job Description

The Senior Quantity Surveyor acts as a project leader, supervising and delivering all aspects of cost management from inception of a project through to completion.

They are intrinsically involved in projects and ensure effective delivery input from others.

Guides Candidate Quantity Surveyors and independently performs all tasks necessary to complete design works.

Technical Excellence
  • Facilitates and coordinates small to mid-size projects.
  • Liaises with the project Executive and the client to establish and implement a clear project brief.
  • Accountable for complex deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Briefs the team on project scope to ensure roles and responsibilities are understood.
  • Manages resources within the established budget.
  • Monitors and manages the performance of Project Surveyors and other direct reports.
  • Functions as a Deputy Project Manager on at least one active project.
  • Assists with managing project services using APIC and other relevant systems.
  • Ensures all deliverables comply with the PDS and meets QA requirements.
Client Relationship Management
  • Begins to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Attends client meetings to gather information, discuss requirements, and defend work.
  • Participates in developing bids and proposals.
  • Presents solutions professionally and competently to clients.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the built environment, preferably with a focus on Mining and Civil Infrastructure.
  • Must be registered as PRQS.
  • Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying from an accredited, internationally recognized institution.
