Job summary

Coega Development Corporation seeks a Senior Quantitative Analyst to drive data analytics and advanced modelling initiatives. You will design and implement ML models, guide a team of analysts, and work with stakeholders to develop optimisation strategies for customer engagement and operations.

You will apply Python, SQL, and Databricks in a fast-paced environment, leveraging cloud platforms and GenAI capabilities to generate actionable business insights for external programmes and investor

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Degree in Data Science or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in quantitative analytics.
• Certifications in Databricks ML Engineer, Databricks Data Engineer, Azure AI or AWS/GCP AI/ML preferred.
• Deep experience with Python and SQL.
• Experience building ML models on Databricks and model governance.
• Knowledge of Generative AI and AI use cases.
• Advanced Excel and statistical software familiarity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement; fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive data analytics and business innovation through data-driven insights.
• Design, train, and optimise ML models; conduct ML assignments and GenAI tasks.
• Lead a team of analysts for exploratory data analysis and model validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop optimization and decisioning models.
• Provide technical advice and project management on business cases for funders.
• Support external programmes and investor attraction initiatives.
