Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a QA Automation Tester in Cape Town with 3+ years of manual and automated testing experience. The role requires proficiency in Selenium and at least one programming language (Java, C#, or Python) and familiarity with Report Portal for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual and automated testing across UI and APIs.
• Proficiency with Selenium and at least one programming language.
• Experience with Report Portal for reporting purposes.
• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and systematic testing approaches.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, tools, framework & approach
• Implement, maintain, and improve test automation frameworks
• Work with development and infrastructure teams for integration test automation in the CI/CD pipeline
• Pursue continuous improvements to test coverage, execution, and automation
• Evaluate, select, and formulate best use of test automation tools for different purposes
• Conduct manual functional testing of UI and APIs
• Understand and apply test-driven development, CI, and CD principles
• Apply agile and waterfall testing methodologies
• Proven experience creating and implementing test automation on frameworks for large-scale systems in agile environments
• In-depth knowledge of a variety of testing techniques and methodologies
• Maintain excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments
