Retro Rabbit/ST21 is looking for a senior Python developer with leadership experience to join our team in Gauteng. This hands-on role involves building and maintaining scalable systems using Python, contributing to AI-driven projects, and leading a team of developers toward technical excellence.

You’ll work across the full stack, with a strong focus on backend development and exposure to AI/ML applications, as well as integration with modern frontend frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architect and implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Vue)
2. Collaborate with data scientists and AI teams to integrate machine learning models and intelligent features into production systems
3. Contribute to scalable, secure, and high-performance software design

What You'll Need:

1. BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
2. Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
3. Proven experience in leading or mentoring development teams
4. Experience working with or integrating AI/ML solutions (e.g., model deployment, AI APIs, recommendation systems)
5. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
6. Exposure to ML tools (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and data pipelines
7. Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices
