Placements24 seeks a Senior Purchasing Manager in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, to lead procurement operations across the group’s industrial activities. You will develop sourcing strategies, mentor a procurement team, and drive cost efficiencies while ensuring supplier performance and compliance.

The role requires 8–10 years in purchasing with at least 3 years in management, experience in industrial environments, and strong ERP/Excel skills. Hybrid work and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive experience in purchasing/procurement or supply chain management.
• At least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in KwaZulu-Natal region or similar industrial environments is advantageous.

• Demonstrated success in strategic sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship management within an industrial or manufacturing environment.


• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
