The opportunity
Act as commissioning leads for medium to high complex projects. Ensure the completion of all commissioning activities efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
How you’ll make an impact
- Manage commissioning activities to ensure quality and timely delivery within targeted costs. Implement design changes in commissioning and produce as-built project documentation. Support continuous improvement of project processes, product, and system design.
- Assist in sales support by creating and presenting proposals for engineering projects or programs, including bills of material and estimated engineering hours.
- Support Contract Managers in issuing claims related to new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, and risk quantifications. Ensure adherence to safety standards and mitigate potential risks.
- Create work plans and cost estimates within your area of responsibility and manage the implementation of the commissioning plan. Collaborate with other functions to improve work plan effectiveness.
- Conduct risk and opportunity assessments during the commissioning phase to ensure proper implementation of the commissioning plan. Identify and report potential risks related to contract, quality, program, and cost, and recommend resolutions. Initiate and monitor risk mitigation plans and ensure stakeholders are updated. Conduct regular Safety Observation tours to report and mitigate HSE hazards.
- Lead customer interactions to finalize acceptance certification, coordinate with external providers for approval of plant acceptance criteria, and ensure closure of open issues and successful performance tests. Identify and introduce new engineering solutions to meet business and customer needs. Attend project meetings and present commissioning aspects.
- Manage external organizations to ensure availability of commissioning equipment, systems, or services. Provide technical guidance to ensure tools and systems meet specifications.
- Develop, coach, and provide technical guidance to colleagues within the business unit. Offer feedback to facilitate lessons learned and process improvements.
- Establish and promote standard processes and tools for commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements. Analyze data and prepare reports to ensure on-contract delivery.
- Guide and assign tasks to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff. May manage small project teams.

Your background
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a relevant industry is required.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
