You will manage all legal aspects of property transactions, developments, and disputes, ensuring compliance and strategic advantage across acquisitions, leasing, and development projects.

The ideal candidate will have extensive property law experience, including conveyancing and land use planning, with a strong ability to navigate regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Admitted attorney with 7+ years in Property Law.
• Proven conveyancing track record.
• In-depth knowledge of South African property legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on property law matters including acquisition, sale, leasing and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on all matters related to property law, including acquisition, sale, leasing, and development.
• Oversee and manage conveyancing processes, ensuring timely and accurate registration of deeds.
• Review and draft property-related agreements, including sale agreements, lease agreements, and development contracts.
• Advise on land use planning, zoning regulations, and environmental law considerations.
• Manage property disputes and litigation, liaising with external legal counsel when necessary.
• Conduct due diligence on property acquisitions and developments.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant property legislation and regulations in Kimberley, Northern Cape .
• Liaise with government departments, municipalities, and other stakeholders involved in property transactions.
• Stay updated on changes in property law and market trends.
• Assist in the negotiation of terms for property development projects.

Requirements

• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience specializing in Property Law.
• Proven track record in conveyancing and managing complex property transactions.
• In-depth knowledge of South African property legislation, including the Deeds Registries Act and Land Use Planning Act.
• Strong understanding of property development processes and associated legal requirements.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in legal research and property law databases.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kimberley, Northern Cape .
• High level of ethical conduct and professional diligence.
