Job summary

Valterra Platinum Limited in South Africa seeks a seasoned Project Procurement leader to manage end-to-end procurement for declared projects. You will drive cost control, supplier performance, and sustainability across the PGM value chain, while ensuring compliance and value delivery through all project phases.

The role demands 5–7 years’ experience in procurement, strong contracts knowledge (NEC advantageous), and a commitment to safety and inclusive sourcing within a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 is required.
• An undergraduate qualification - bachelor’s degree level or equivalent, or relevant tertiary qualification.
• Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence (Prescribed).
• Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience.
• Technical knowledge across the SC value chain and project procurement is required.
• Experience with NEC contracts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the SC strategy, risk identification, tasks & targets.
• Translate strategies into planning and scheduling for Project Procurement.
• Participate in value delivery target setting, tracking and initiative development.
• Contract administration of project procurement contracts.
• Support performance management of contractual KPIs.
• Manage supplier performance and data updates.
• Support inclusive procurement and community engagement in commercial strategies.
• Collaborate with materials management and warehousing to align on demand and working capital.
