Job description

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Project Manager - Transformers to join our team.

In this role, you will lead the Operations function at the local level, with full accountability for running the day-to-day operations and exceeding customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash) in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost.

How you'll make an impact
  • Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach, and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring, and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and its acknowledgment by the customer.
  • Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
  • Define all project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans.
  • Ensure that the project follows execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies.
  • Monitor and control project progress and resource utilization, project financials, oversee invoicing, costs, expenses, and cash flow.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, and manage project risks.
  • Ensure formal project closure as per contractual agreements.
  • Coach and provide feedback to project staff.
  • Organize customer acceptance of transformers and address defects in customer complaints.
  • Supervise shipment, transportation from the plant to the customer, and installation at the site.
  • Manage contracts.
  • Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions and caring for colleagues and the business.
Your background
  • Project Management Certificate is an advantage, PMP preferred.
  • More than 14-16 years of proven experience in Project Management or Project Controlling, specifically in the transformer industry.
  • Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project; basic knowledge of SAP is beneficial.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and documentation.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
