Job summary

thyssenkrupp Uhde South Africa is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale projects from inception to completion. The role focuses on initiating, executing, monitoring and closing projects in line with contractual and safety standards, reporting to the HOD PM and Services.

Requirements include an Engineering degree, PMP certification, NEC contracts experience, and 15+ years in project management. Based in South Africa, the role demands strong leadership and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

Engineering degree and PMP certification required.
Competency in Microsoft Office and planning software.
Experience with NEC suite contracts; FIDIC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review contracts and budgets and load project into DAPROH in conjunction with the Commercial Project Manager.
Develop a baseline schedule in collaboration with the project Planner.
Create and obtain acceptance of the Project Charter from CEO and CFO.
Monitor progress against scope, cost and schedule baselines; manage risk, change and claims.
Ensure close-out documentation handover and commercial close-out requirements are completed.
Adhere to HSE requirements and tk Safety Health and Environment standards.
