Qualifications

Introduction

Our client is a specialised solar consultancy that simplifies and de‑risks the procurement of renewable energy and energy‑storage systems. Their capabilities span:

• Market-leading suppliers and technologies

• Current legislation and legal frameworks

• System construction, financing and contract management

• End‑to‑end lifecycle management: feasibility, procurement, construction oversight and performance monitoring across C&I, agricultural, industrial and commercial sectors

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the full solar PV project lifecycle from feasibility through construction and commissioning

• Manage multiple projects as Principal Agent / Owner’s Engineer

• Coordinate project meetings, track milestones, and review/approve contractor claims

• Conduct site visits for feasibility assessments and construction quality checks

• Support commercial teams with feasibility work: site inspections, layout reviews and CapEx modelling

• Review detailed designs, drawings, datasheets and calculations

• Ensure adherence to specifications, local standards and contractual obligations

• Liaise with client-side professionals (QSs, architects, engineers)

• Participate in contract negotiations and supplier due diligence

• Run EPC tender processes, evaluations and supplier selection

• Track deliverables and maintain internal project systems

• Produce technical and construction progress reports

• Capture lessons learned and embed best practices

Desired Experience & Qualification

Essential

• BSc Eng / BTech or PMP certification

• 5+ years’ project or construction management experience in engineering, renewable energy or the built environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Confident presenter and stakeholder manager

Preferred / Advantageous

• Solar PV engineering or EPC experience (especially C&I)

• Electrical qualification or Wireman’s Licence

• Experience with JBCC Minor Works or Principal Building Agreements

• Familiarity with PV system components (electrical & mechanical)

• PV design/draughting exposure

• Proficiency in Google Workspace

• Background in consultancy, Lenders’ Technical Advisory, Owner’s Engineering or Construction Monitoring
