Managed Talent Solutions a Business Unit within Datacentrix is looking for a Senior Project Manager who is highly organized and results-driven and has proven experience managing complex projects involving facilities infrastructure, workplace transitions and organizational relocations . The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle – from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closeout – ensuring all relocation or facilities upgrade projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget .
The ideal candidate must hold a recognized project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) , PRINCE2 , or be proficient in PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) methodologies.
Required Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Facilities Management, or a related field .
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience managing medium to large-scale facilities-related projects, with specific experience in organizational relocations or structural refurbishments.
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
- Certification in Project Management :
PMP (Project Management Professional)
- PRINCE2 (Practitioner or Foundation)
- PMBOK-compliant methodologies
- Strong understanding of building systems, health & safety standards, and facilities operations .
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage relocation, refurbishment, and facilities-based projects , including moving departments, business units, or entire organizations from one building / location to another.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans , including scope, timeline, budget, and resources.
- Conduct site assessments , feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analyses.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain regular communication with executives, internal teams, and external service providers (e.g., contractors, architects, IT vendors).
- Coordinate with Facilities, IT, Security, and HR teams to ensure business continuity during transitions.
- Manage procurement of services and resources (e.g., movers, furniture, infrastructure) as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, health and safety, and building standards during facilities projects.
- Prepare and present project status reports , documentation, and post-project evaluations to key stakeholders.
- Apply project management best practices and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
- Oversee the decommissioning and recommissioning of spaces, systems, and equipment.
- Maintain project documentation, including change control, issue logs, risk registers, and communication plans.
