About the Role

Our client, a major player in the mining industry, is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and optimize operational projects. This is a completely remote position, allowing you to manage critical mining initiatives from the convenience of your home office. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects related to operational improvements, equipment upgrades, and new technology integrations within mining sites. Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and completion of strategic projects within mining operations, focusing on efficiency and safety. Provide regular, clear, and concise project status updates to senior leadership, utilizing effective remote communication tools. Manage external contractors and suppliers involved in mining projects.

Requirements

A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years in the mining or heavy industry sector. Proven experience managing large-scale operational or capital projects in a mining context. Strong understanding of mining processes, equipment, and safety protocols. Experience working in and managing projects for fully remote teams or operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, adapted for a remote setting. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and data analysis tools. A Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable. Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote capacity. Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
