A leading project management firm based in Cape Town is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a critical Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) upgrade project. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management within the insurance or banking sectors, strong HFM expertise, and exceptional stakeholder management skills. Qualifications

Job description

Are you a seasoned Project Manager with a knack for leading complex financial projects? We're looking for a highly experienced professional to spearhead a critical Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) upgrade project. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by leveraging your expertise and leadership skills.

This role requires a unique combination of technical knowledge and strategic oversight, especially for someone who understands the intricacies of the Oracle EPM suite. If you have a proven track record of successful HFM projects. Its a Contract role based in Cape town

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire HFM upgrade project life cycle, from planning to post-implementation support.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including finance, IT, and external vendors.
  • Ensure all project activities align with companies governance and compliance standards.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies to keep the project on track.
  • Communicate project progress and updates to senior stakeholders and executive sponsors.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: You must have worked with insurance/banking in a project management capacity within the last 5 years.
  • HFM Expertise: Proven experience leading major HFM projects, including upgrades, implementations, or migrations.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of HFM architecture, financial consolidation, and related tools like Smart View.
  • Project Management Skills: Minimum 8-10 years of project management experience on large-scale IT or finance projects. Familiarity with methodologies like Waterfall and Agile is essential.
  • Leadership & Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and team coordination abilities. You should be comfortable presenting to executive leadership and steering committees.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, IT, etc.) is a plus.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
  • Oracle HFM or EPM certifications are highly advantageous.
