SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER - PERMANENT POSITION

Our client in the Financial / Investment industry is looking for a Project Manager to oversee and manage complex projects within the Business Solutions area. The role involves driving project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, coordinating project teams, and ensuring projects are completed within scope, time, and budget.

Purpose of the job

Be responsible for creating and embedding the necessary structure for effective project delivery, removing blockers, and ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes.

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Project Management

Lead and manage end-to-end project life cycles for transfer agency-related initiatives (e.g., system implementations, process improvements, compliance upgrades).

Develop and define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables aligned with business goals and financial regulatory requirements.

Implement and maintain effective delivery frameworks internally and with our outsourced IT service partner.

Manage delivery through the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including client implementation of changes.

Collaborate with stakeholders (internal teams, external vendors, and clients) to define and refine project requirements and key milestones.

Create detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

Ensure smooth execution of projects from initiation to completion, managing day-to-day operations and removing obstacles for the project team.

Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.

Manage risks, identify potential issues, and propose solutions to minimize project disruptions.

Analyze internal and third-party processes, creating strategies for project delivery optimization.

Performance & Quality Management

Ensure timely and accurate project reporting.

Manage and negotiate project expectations with stakeholders, ensuring clarity and achievement.

Oversee project budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation, completing projects within financial constraints.

Ideal experience
  • 5+ years of BA / Scrum Master / Project Management / Delivery experience
  • Experience managing complex, large-scale projects in a regulated environment
  • Knowledge of Retail Investment domain
Competencies and personality attributes
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Proven track record of managing projects from conception to completion
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high quality and efficiency
  • Leadership skills to motivate cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication at all stakeholder levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira)
  • Familiarity with asset management systems and transfer agency technologies
Software and Systems Knowledge
  • Essential: Understanding of financial markets and systems
  • Highly Desirable: Flexcube, Bizagi, Digiata
