Senior Project Engineer

TRS has an exciting opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER with strong Raise Boring and Fidic contract management experience. Lead and oversee mechanical engineering projects, ensuring the successful execution of raise boring operations while adhering to contractual obligations and project timelines. Join our international client's team based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Job Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Project planning, coordination of engineering activities, procurement management, contract negotiation, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Extensive contract management – FIDIC.
• Experience within an EPCM / Mining environment is essential.
• Knowledge of specific departments, i.e.: Projects, Project Controls, etc. is essential.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 45001 is advantageous.
• Sound technical knowledge in a multi-discipline environment is essential.

Qualification and Skills Requirements:

• BSc Honors / BTech / NQFL7 or higher in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• Post Graduate Qualifications are advantageous.
• 10 or more years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5 years or more in Mining Projects.
• 3 years or more operational experience in mines.
