Job description

Qualifications and Requirements: BEng Mechanical Engineering essential. Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience. Leadership abilities/qualities are key to the role. Experience within an FMCG environment. Experience in mechanical design, piping & implementation diagrams, project management, commissioning, and project execution preferred. Hands-on experience in managing a team. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Flexibility to travel within the Western Cape.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Onsite construction, implementation, and supervision of various projects.
  2. Onsite commissioning of engineering projects.
  3. Assist the Engineering Manager: Projects, in any project engineering activities.
  4. Contribute to the continuous optimization of the production process.
  5. Ensure overall compliance with relevant procedures and policies.
  6. Ensure all team members have clearly defined job profiles.
  7. Conduct regular goal reviews to assess achievement of results.
  8. Support, coaching, and mentoring to ensure objectives are met.
  9. Appropriate allocation of resources to meet operational demands.
  10. Ensure adequate succession planning to meet ongoing and anticipated business requirements.
  11. Draft manuals and procedures as required within the department.
