Job summary

AltGen South Africa is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of renewable energy projects, guiding them through development, financial close, construction and operation.

Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town, you will coordinate commercial, financial, technical and contractor workstreams and manage senior client and stakeholder relationships to ensure timely delivery and value creation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of a portfolio of renewable energy projects.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, resources and key development milestones.
• Lead senior client engagements and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Coordinate technical, commercial, financial, legal and contractor workstreams.
• Manage external advisers, consultants, contractors and other project partners.
• Support commercial structuring, contract strategy and negotiations.
• Undertake and review financial and technical analysis, including financial models and project economics.
• Progress projects through funding/financial close, construction and commercial operation.
• Identify and mitigate commercial, financial and delivery risks.
