Job Description

The Position

Reporting to the First Line Manager / Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the sales of pharmaceuticals in the field of Established Brands / Woman's Health in the Southern Africa Private market.

You will be responsible for maintaining and increasing sales for the products in the selected portfolio.

You will engage strategically with target customers to create sustainable value for patients and healthcare through accessible and innovative solutions to increase / maintain scripting and drive script fulfillment at pharmacies.

Parts of customer visits in this role can be done remotely.

This role can be for multiple locations in (territory) depending on business need.

Responsibilities
  • Build or maintain positive working relationships with targeted customers and their supporting staff to ensure customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty to Organon products.
  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding sales results regarding the assigned portfolio of products.
  • Create and maintain strong partnerships and trust for short-term and long-term value, driving customer satisfaction and loyalty through understanding each customer's values and needs.
  • Manage interactions with targeted customers that are meaningful, scientifically valuable, and relevant, tailored to individual needs.
  • Understand customer needs related to patient management.
  • Attend company meetings, technical data presentations, and briefings.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and sales team members to plan approaches and develop business plans for sales in specific areas.
  • Plan work schedules and keep records of customer interactions on the CRM platform.
  • Be prepared to stay away from home for country trips and conferences.
  • Maintain professionalism in behavior according to company policies and standards.
  • Report adverse experiences or events, product quality complaints, customer feedback, and any suspicious activities to the designated contact.
  • Assist in organizing continued medical education (CME) for healthcare professionals.
  • Manage budgets and submit expenses timely according to policy.
  • Stay updated with the latest clinical data, interpret, present, and discuss this data with healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback on marketing trends.
  • Regularly update and monitor KPIs.
  • Perform any other tasks as directed by your manager.
Tasks
  • Detailing of Organon products to healthcare professionals, including general practitioners, specialists, pharmacists, and nurses in targeted territories.
  • Conduct direct selling using the RepWise platform.
  • Attend training and meetings virtually or in person.
  • Manage territory effectively.
  • Use CLM system competently and compliantly.
  • Analyze data to implement measurable interventions to increase sales and counter opposition strategies.
  • Understand the science of products and clinical trials.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and actions.
  • Strong communication skills, high motivation, and sociability.
  • Alignment with Organon principles and values.
  • Good understanding of Market Targeting and Segmentation.
  • Superior time management skills.
  • Experience in Established Brands / Woman's Health in the Southern Africa Private market preferred.
  • Experience communicating complex medical and pharmacological information.
  • Bachelor's or higher education in a related field.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proven work experience in pharmaceutical sales with a strong record, averaging 6 years.
  • Team player with goal achievement capability.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, high work ethic, digital literacy, adaptability, perseverance.
  • Growth mindset and willingness for professional training.
  • Understanding of compliance regulations.
