Job summary

Mediclinic International recherche un infirmier pour son hôpital, principalement chargé d'assurer une expérience positive pour les patients tout en soutenant la direction des soins et la gestion de l'unité. Le candidat idéal doit avoir un diplôme en soins infirmiers et une expérience en Cath Lab ou en chirurgie cardio-thoracique.

Qualifications

• 2-3 ans d'expérience post-qualification en Cath Lab/ chirurgie cardio-thoracique.
• Qualifications de gestion de la santé souhaitées.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To ensure a safe, positive patient experience by supporting the unit manager in the co-ordination of patient care and management of the unit

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• Ensure comprehensive and safe patient care by mitigating risks and meeting set clinical quality standards
• Manage the patient experience
• Ensure optimal supply, retention and utilisation of staffing resources
• Empower and build staff competence through continuous assessment and development
• Assist with the effective management of operational expenses (including stock and capital)

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:

• Degree/ Diploma in General Nursing
• Post graduate certificate/ diploma in speciality area

DESIRED EDUCATION:

• Midwifery

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

• 2 to 3 years post qualification experience in Cath Lab and or Cardio thoracic surgery

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Healthcare management qualification will be advantageous

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Pharmacology
• Nursing processes and procedures
• Infection prevention and control
• Scientific nursing principles and process
• Develop/ modify a nursing care plan
• Scope of practice for nurse practitioners
• For specialised wards; ACLS; ATLS; PALS trained;
• Analysing and interpretation skills
• Basic life support trained
