Job description

Senior Production Manager or Project Manager

Location: Southern Suburbs, Cape Town

Salary: R60,000-R75,000

Requirements:

• In-depth knowledge of exhibition stands, event structures, and temporary architecture.
• Ability to read and understand designs, renders, and technical plans, and to communicate this information effectively to the team.
• Extensive experience in custom fabricated exhibition stand production.
• Proficiency with Octanorm modular systems, XBoard uses, limitations, and applications.
• Knowledge of materials such as MDF, chipboard, various plastic substrates, polyester print materials, vinyl printing, solid surface, laminates, and lighting.
• Ability to break down designs into functional production models and plans.
• Excellent management skills.
• Software skills including Sketchup (basic to mid-level), analyzing, measuring, and redrawing for production purposes; CAD skills for CNC cut files (advantageous).

Key Performance Indicators:

• Coordinate with design, sales, and project management teams to determine project costs.
• Place orders with suppliers using the internal order system.
• Monitor and track project expenditure.
• Collaborate with production managers on order placement and timing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Manage and lead teams to successfully complete projects.
• Continuously improve systems and internal processes.
• Oversee build sites and manage multiple suppliers.
• Handle logistics and project planning at a high level, including Gantt charts.
