Job description

My client, who provides award-winning products in the medical industry, requires a Senior Product Development Engineer to join their team to contribute to the robustness of the product roadmap and improvement function within the B2C division.

This role involves driving the implementation of the vision for hardware and software products and ensuring products meet customer needs. The goal is to get new, compliant, and high-quality devices and solutions onto the Lexie platform efficiently, coordinating the global team towards successful product deployment.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree (BSc or BEng) (Essential)
• Minimum 5+ years' experience (8+ years preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project and Product Management (20%): Own projects and systems, report on progress, manage risks, and ensure team alignment and quality.
2. Product Research and Development (40%): Develop and integrate new products into the Lexie ecosystem, including firmware, app, and hardware development, following best practices and ensuring quality testing and documentation.
3. Regulatory and Quality Management (20%): Support process improvements, ensure compliance, and assist with certification and quality verification.
4. Documentation and Certification (20%): Produce and manage high-quality documentation, ensure compliance with standards like ISO, CE, FDA, and support documentation reviews and improvements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Hands-on software development experience, responsible for project implementation and maintenance
• Experience with hardware integration, testing, and source control systems (Git or SVN)
• Ability to design, troubleshoot, and problem solve complex systems
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Desirable Skills:

• Knowledge of storage mechanisms, threading, RF, BLE, wireless communications, audio processing
• Experience with regulatory compliance, data stores, distributed systems, APIs, and testing methodologies
