As a Senior Procurement Specialist at Rentoza, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement and supply chain management of consumer electronics and appliances. You will work closely with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage inventory to optimise costs, quality, and delivery times. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining our competitive edge and providing our customers with outstanding products.
Key Role & Responsibilities :
Market Research :
- Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and emerging technologies.
- Identify potential new suppliers and tech products to expand our product offerings.
- Identify potential suppliers based on specific criteria such as price, quality, reliability and capacity, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers of technology products.
- Negotiate favourable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement. Ensure contracts are well drafted and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.
- Cost and risk management.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management :
- Drive fulfillment strategies by ensuring inventory levels are in line with customer demand.
- Compile comprehensive reports to ensure adequate stock levels while minimising inventory costs and identifying risks & opportunities.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Monitor and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.
Quality Assurance :
- Ensure that all products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular quality assessments of vendors and products.
Cost Control :
- Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising product quality or availability.
- Analyse market trends and identify opportunities for cost reductions.
Data Analysis :
- Generate reports on procurement metrics and performance.
- Utilise data and analytics in building reports to make informed decisions and improve procurement processes.
- Analyse and respond proactively to current trade, making data driven decisions to maximise sales potential.
Required Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree or certification (e.g., CSCP, CPM) is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role within the consumer electronics or appliances industry.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on sourcing technology products.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of cost savings.
- Excellent understanding of supply chain management and procurement processes.
- Familiarity with e-commerce and online marketplace dynamics.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset and the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Strong analytical and organisational skills with experience in sales forecasting, inventory management and budgeting.
