Do you have 5 – 8 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment as a Procurement Manager with strong leadership skills and being at the forefront of strategy, ensuring the seamless acquisition of materials within budget?

A leading manufacturing concern based in Atlantis requires a qualified Procurement Manager to manage and coordinate all procurement activities, provide best practices, develop supplier relationships, implement cost-saving initiatives, and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Your degree in Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain will be essential.

POSITION INFO : REQUIREMENTS

  • Matric, Degree in Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain
  • At least 3 years management experience in Procurement or Supply Chain in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a team
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

DUTIES

  • Manage and coordinate all procurement activities for the business, including various manufacturing operations
  • Provide procurement best practices and continuous optimization support to the business
  • Ensure procurement contributes to the achievement of business objectives
  • Ensure procurement compliance with group policies, financial standards, and ethics
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets and quarterly outlooks for key commodities
  • Manage key commodity, service, and capital purchase price negotiations
  • Oversee key commodity order placement, delivery, and stock levels in conjunction with production planning
  • Issue tenders and evaluate bids for key commodities, services, and capital purchases
  • Manage contract implementation for key commodities, services, and capital purchases
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives through supplier and commodity reviews
  • Oversee supplier performance management
  • Manage procurement personnel recruitment and performance evaluations
  • Maintain procurement supplier and commodity information on the group SharePoint portal, including key commodity trends and analyses
