A leading manufacturing concern based in Atlantis requires a qualified Procurement Manager to manage and coordinate all procurement activities, provide best practices, develop supplier relationships, implement cost-saving initiatives, and maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Your degree in Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain will be essential.
POSITION INFO : REQUIREMENTS
- Matric, Degree in Finance, Procurement, or Supply Chain
- At least 3 years management experience in Procurement or Supply Chain in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire a team
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement software
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
DUTIES
- Manage and coordinate all procurement activities for the business, including various manufacturing operations
- Provide procurement best practices and continuous optimization support to the business
- Ensure procurement contributes to the achievement of business objectives
- Ensure procurement compliance with group policies, financial standards, and ethics
- Prepare and manage annual budgets and quarterly outlooks for key commodities
- Manage key commodity, service, and capital purchase price negotiations
- Oversee key commodity order placement, delivery, and stock levels in conjunction with production planning
- Issue tenders and evaluate bids for key commodities, services, and capital purchases
- Manage contract implementation for key commodities, services, and capital purchases
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives through supplier and commodity reviews
- Oversee supplier performance management
- Manage procurement personnel recruitment and performance evaluations
- Maintain procurement supplier and commodity information on the group SharePoint portal, including key commodity trends and analyses
