Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to join our client in Nelspruit, overseeing comprehensive process safety programs. You will lead PHAs, MOC, incident investigations, and training to uphold strict safety standards in chemical and energy operations.

You will apply PSM expertise across OSHA PSM and EPA RMP frameworks, driving continuous safety improvements and ensuring regulatory compliance within a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in process safety engineering, preferably in chemical/energy sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements (e.g., OSHA PSM, EPA RMP).
• Experience with various PHA methodologies and risk assessment tools.
• Strong understanding of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and hazardous area classifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a strong safety culture.
