Our client, a dynamic producer of specialty chemicals, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer for their facility in Randburg, Gauteng. This role involves a hybrid work arrangement, requiring regular on-site engagement with operations and R&D teams, complemented by remote flexibility for planning and analysis. You will be instrumental in optimizing existing chemical processes, developing new manufacturing methods, and ensuring the efficient, safe, and sustainable production of high-value chemical products. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles, advanced process control, and troubleshooting complex manufacturing challenges. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.


• Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).


• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.


• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing site and remote duties.


• Familiarity with statistical analysis and Design of Experiments (DOE).


• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.) is highly desirable.
