The ideal candidate must have a university degree (BSc Chemical). World Class Manufacturing Instructor is an added advantage, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in a Production or Process discipline in a continuous process manufacturing environment, including 2 years' experience in managing a team as an added advantage.
This role requires a person with the ability to execute the Product Development Process (Stage gate or similar).
The ideal candidate will need to have experience within WCM; ISO and SHEQ practices, along with good communication and interpersonal skills.

The primary purpose of the role is to provide leadership and develop/deploy the Policy Deployment actions across the site, achieving optimum team and production performance.
Reporting through the Plant Manager, the Senior Process Engineer will understand the strategic objectives for the plant (through the Policy Deployment process) and translate this into a clearly defined Department action plan.
The role will be accountable for the delivery of that action plan on a short-medium term timeline. In addition, the Senior Process Engineer will be responsible for the development of the Department team, actively encouraging through their own behaviour, an environment where people act safely and develop to their full potential.
