Job description

Responsibilities

1. Production of diagrams for process discipline in relevant department design packages.
2. Produce electronic and hardcopy diagrams and related data files.
3. Work in conjunction with multi-disciplinary engineers/designers.
4. Timely and accurate completion of diagrams to schedules.
5. Adherence to manhour budgets.
6. Adherence to company/department standards and procedures.
7. Multi-task project diagrams and miscellaneous tasks as directed by the Section Lead/Process Engineer, to meet deadlines.
8. Work overtime from time to time as per project requirement.
9. Solve problems of a routine nature with ample precedent or clearly defined procedures.
10. Perform validation checks on all diagrams, databases and lists/reports generated.
11. Adherence to drawing man-hour budgets.
12. Assist with training of peers/new designers, if and when requested by the Section Lead.
13. Assist with continuous development and uphold of standards, procedures and any relevant documentation, if and when requested by the Section Lead.
14. Assist Section Lead/Lead Engineer with reviewing of established budgets and schedules to provide input on the ability to meet the required, i.e. assist with man-hour planning.
15. Provide technical support to peers, if and when requested by the Section Lead.
16. Assist with systems administration functions, if and when requested by the Section Lead.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 10 years Process Design experience of which at least 5 years is in the mining and mineral processing area.
2. Proficient in AutoCad.
3. Proficiency with AVEVA P&ID or intelligent P&ID software.
4. Understanding of the composition and purpose of process drawings and associated documentation.
5. Well developed computer skills with keen knowledge of related drafting software packages including AutoCad, relational databases and Excel spreadsheets.
6. Methodical approach to allocated work areas.
7. Must be able to work under pressure.
8. Basic Excel knowledge.
